Brackley Town have appointed Kevin Wilkin as Jon Brady’s replacement at St James Park.

Wilkin, the former Nuneaton and Wrexham manager, takes over from caretaker-manager Frank Sinclair at the Vanarama National League North club.

A statement from the management board said: ‘We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Wilkin as first team manager with immediate effect.

‘He brings a wealth of managerial expertise from previous challenges and we are confident that he will achieve our short and long term goals.

‘We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Frank Sinclair for his professional attitude in managing the team through the interim period of selecting a new manager. We wish him every success for the future.

‘We look forward to this new chapter in our history and to exciting times that lay ahead.’

Wilkin’s first game in charge will be at Tooting & Mitcham United for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup secod qualifying round tie.
