Brackley Town boss Jon Brady got the response he wanted from his side as they ended a four-match Vanarama Conference North losing run with an emphatic 5-1 victory at Stalybridge Celtic.
A breathless first half at Bower Fold saw Saints race into an early lead and dominate the half leaving the home side stunned at the break. Two goals from Ryan Rowe and one each from Greg Kaziboni, Stuart Pierpoint and the pick from Sam Whittall gave Brackley an extraordinary 5-0 interval lead.
After the break, debut keeper Ollie Martin felled Ryan Rowe and was sent off. After a delay Rowe saw his penalty kick saved by stand-in keeper Oliver Crowley.
To their credit Stalybridge rallied and never gave up, grabbing one back through Jamie Allen as Saints continued to enjoy possession and plentiful chances.
