Brackley Town head to North Ferriby United for Saturday’s Vanarama National League North clash on the back of a much-needed victory.
Two goals in each half brought Saints a convincing first win in seven outings to lift them out of the bottom three on goal difference after they beat fellow strugglers FC United of Manchester 4-0 in Saturday’s game at St James Park.

Glenn Walker, David Moyo, Steve Diggin and Tom Winters bagged the goals for Kevin Wilkin’s side and the Saints boss was relieved to see his side end their poor run.
He said: “I’m pleased to bounce back after last week. Today we put the ball in the right places and took our chances.
“The disappointment we felt a week ago with our second half performance is turned around with a clean sheet and four goals this afternoon and chances to have scored more.
“The confidence grew after the third goal and it was pleasing to see four different players on the score sheet. We have relied all season too much on Steve [Diggin] and need more players to take responsibility for scoring. This will give us confidence to take into the next game.”
