As feared, Banbury United’s proposed trip to Tiverton Town today (Saturday) has been postponed.

The surface at Tiverton’s Ladysmead ground had been heavy all week before the overnight rain and the Evo-Stik Southern League fixture was postponed following an early morning pitch inspection. That means Mike Ford’s side has now to fit in another midweek trip to the west country following the postponed match at Taunton Town last month.

United’s next game will be the Division One South & West clash with Larkhall Athletic at Spencer Stadium next weekend when the club will be reunited some of their players from the past 50 years at their first ever former players day.
