Players must deal with the pressure of being top says Ford
The Puritans knocked Winchester City off top spot with a 2-1 success in Saturday’s Division One South & West clash at Spencer Stadium, their eighth win on the spin.
Ford said: “That’s our eighth straight win and we are the team in this division with the momentum. We didn’t get into the play-off places until December, we’ve come late and we’ve just got to make sure we keep winning games.

And Ford will be hoping for another good turn-out for Tuesday’s clash with Bridgwater Town at Spencer Stadium. There were nearly 600 against Winchester and Ford added: “It was a great crowd, the game deserved it, and so did the players.
“I just hope we can a decent turn-out again on Tuesday, we should be looking at another 350-plus. The board has done a great job with promoting games but it’s the players who are the ones who can attract big crowds.”
