Banbury United boss Mike Ford has played down any play-off talk until his team has reached the 50-point mark.
The Puritans lie sixth in the Evo-Stik Southern League but are without a game this weekend as Chesham United are in Buildbase FA Trophy action.

Despite his side being on a good run, Ford is not too unhappy to have a break. When they return, for the long trip to King’s Lynn Town, Ford will be hoping they have recharged their batteries for the winter campaign.
Ford said: “The target remains 50 points and once we’ve reached that I will sit down and have a look how many points are available and if we can close the gap on the teams above us.
“No team holds any fears for us but we respect them because we have to work really hard to get every point in this division. We’ve exceeded our own expectations but sometimes the supporters’ expectations are greater.
“We’re playing really well and we’re in a good place at the moment. We’ve scored four goals in our last two away games and the last time we lost a midweek away game was at Dunstable back in August!
“But I don’t mind us having a break, it will give the players the chance to come back fresh for the busy schedule coming up.”
