Easington Sports manager Phil Lines will be looking for his side to extend their unbeaten UHLSport Hellenic League start at Fairford Town on Saturday.

But Sports go there on the back of two dropped Division One West points following Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Clanfield 85 at Addison Road.

The first half was entertaining without either side creating clear-cut chances as both defensives remained on top while Sports were a threat at set-pieces.

Mike Spaull and Josh Northam offered good width and Sports broke the deadlock just before the break when Andrew Stidder smashed the ball high into the net.

Sports were more comfortable in the second half, Northam cut inside only to see his shot fly just past the post. Spaull managed to nick the ball before the keeper could gather on the edge of the box but he shot over.

Clanfield grabbed a late equaliser when Chester Dolisznvj scrambled the ball home. Sports regained the lead when substitute Ben Milner flicked on for Stidder, his shot was saved by the keeper but Adil Hussain netted from the rebound.

Clanfield scored a second equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage-time with Callum Miller beating keeper Jack Goode at the far post.
