Banbury United boss Mike Ford will be looking for his side to show their home fans what they can do in tonight’s (Tuesday) clash with Burnham.

The Puritans go into the Evo-Stik Southern League fixture on the back of Saturday’s excellent 4-1 success at Bridgwater Town and Ford will be looking for a similar performance tonight.

We need to make sure we carry on playing the same way no matter how the opposition set up

Ford will be demanding a much improved home performance from the opening day setback against Swindon Supermarine on their return to action at Spencer Stadium.

Leam Howards bagged a brace in the Division One South & West fixture at Bridgwater but Ford was delighted with his side’s all round performance.

He said: “We won at a canter but we need to make sure we carry on playing the same way in games no matter how the opposition set up.

“Some teams will try and make the game scrappy but we have got to stick to our beliefs, be brave on the ball and keep trying to play the right way. We may have to play out from the back in different ways but I don’t want us to change our style.”

Louis Joyce, who missed Saturday’s game through injury, will have a fitness test before tonight’s game, but Ford should have a full squad to choose from.
