Tuesday’s victory over Didcot Town moved the Puritans up to sixth in the Division One South & West table. Now Ford can turn his attention to Saturday’s first qualifying round tie at premier division Hungerford.
Ford said: “Hungerford is a bonus game for us really, they’ve got a big budget for that level and they should be in the play-offs at the end of the season.
“But if they underestimate us and we can produce a good performance we could surprise them, there won’t be a lot in it.
“It’s been a tough month, we’ve been on the road a lot, had some high-intensity games and played the leaders who hadn’t dropped a point at home and now we’ve beaten a side who are through to the first round of the FA Cup.
“But we’ve had a good run, after 14 games we’ve got 27 points, which is a really good return for us. We’ll have a right good go at Hungerford on Saturday, we want to finish the month off with a good result.”
