Ford delighted to get another three points on the board
The Puritans beat lowly Alvechurch 2-1 in Saturday's Premier Central clash at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. Giorgio Rasulo gave United the first half lead which was cancelled out by Kyle Perry only for Gordon to grab the late winner with his 12th league goal of the season.
United totally dominated the game but one sloppy moment almost cost them three points. In the end, Gordon's goal proved decisive as United saw off another of the teams in the wrong half of the table, something they've done nearly enough of in recent seasons.

And when it's only 1-0 you know the opposition still think they have a chance which we gave them for the equaliser, it was a very poor goal.
"In recent years, we haven't managed to see off teams in the lower half of the table. But now we've beaten St Ives, Leiston and Alvechurch, and we've picked up nine points. I don't generally look at the league table but it's nice to see where we are, we know what we're trying to achieve."
