Banbury United boss Mike Ford was satisfied with the performance but not the result against Peterborough Sports

Peterborough Sports emerged 2-0 winners in Saturday's BetVictor Southern League clash at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium where two late goals from Joshua McCammon and Joshua Moreman earned the visitors all three Premier Central points.

Ford said: “I can defend that performance, I thought we were decent for long spells, but I can't defend the manner in which we lost the game, especially the goals.

“It was a disappointing result but the performance was very good once we got into our stride we were very good in the first half and had chances.

“The second half was end to end at the start but once we got to grips with it we looked a real threat. But if you don't score you have to make sure you don't concede and the goals we let in were very poor.

“You have to take your chances and we have a bit of an issue when teams stand on us we stop playing out from the back and that contributed to their first goal. It was a game we should have won but missing several big players didn't help us on the day. We missed Lee Henderson, Claudio Dias and Giorgio Rasulo, and then we lost Pablo Haysham, which meant we finished the game without four key players..”
