Banbury United manager Mike Ford is calling on Felipe Barcelos to make his mark and help take his side back up.

Barcelos got on the score sheet as the Puritans made it four wins on the spin in Saturday’s Evo-Stik Southern League clash with AFC Totton. The Puritans won 3-0 in Division One South & West with goals from Ricky Johnson, substitute Darius Browne and Barcelos who Ford feels has more to give.

I’ve known him for a long time and he’s got a lot more to give

Ford said: “Felipe suffered a bit in the first half with the chances he had but he kept going and got his goal in the second half.

“Felipe hasn’t yet got two goals in a league game and that’s because he’s sat next to me on the bench for the last 20 minutes! To stay on the pitch he’s got to do better, I’ve know him for a long time and he’s got a lot more to give this team.”
