Saints booked their place after they cruised to a 5-0 victory at Beaconsfield SYCOB in Saturday’s fourth qualifying round tie.

Boss Kevin Wilkin said: “I’m delighted to be through to the next round and looking at it we have a good record in the cup with three wins, three clean sheets and scoring lots of goals.

“The league is our bread and butter but the cup brings some added prestige and media attention to the club and the players.

“It might just bring the club to the attention of a wider audience and of course it brings in revenue. A home draw in the next round would be good so our home fans can be there but we’ll be looking forward to it either way.”

Looking back on Saturday’s success, Wilkin added: “I’m disappointed we did not kill the game off. We missed chances and you could begin to think it’s not going to be your day.

“The win was not as comfortable as the score line suggests and the game was still open in that second half. They had a good tempo in the second period and asked questions of us.

“Our three substitutes came on, they all scored and they did well as did the boys at the back once again.”
