Saints booked their place with a 3-0 victory in Saturday’s third qualifying round tie at Worcester City where goals from Steve Diggin, his sixth goal of the season and his fourth in three games, David Pitt and Jack Bowen, his first for the club, ensured a smooth passage.

Meanwhile, Ollie McCoy hit a hat-trick as Beaconsfield SYCOB powered them into the fourth qualifying round for the first time with a 3-0 victory over Felixstowe & Walton United.

But Saints will fancy their chances against the Division One Central strugglers as they look to reach the first round proper for the fourth time.

Saints boss Kevin Wilkin praised his side’s performance at Worcester and said: “That was a strong, all round performance and a polished one. Three strikers got the goals which is unusual for us this season!

“Everybody played their part and there were some exceptional individual performances including Glenn Walker, who was outstanding.”
