Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer admits his side will have to be at their best if they are to avoid an upset at the hands of Brackley Town in the Emirates FA Cup.

Bowyer was at St James Park on Wednesday to see Kevin Wilkin’s boys knock Gillingham out in a thrilling first round replay. James Armoson bagged a hat-trick as Saints won it 4-3 after extra-time.

Saints now travel to the League Two outfit next month and Bowyer said: “I was there and I thought they were really impressive. In my opinion they could have won it in the 90 minutes with the chances they had.

“It was an impressive performance from them and they’re going to come here full of confidence because they’ve knocked a League One team out.

“We’re going to get these league games out of the way and then prepare as properly as we did for the Kidderminster game and treat them with the utmost respect, because they’re dangerous.

“But at home we know on our day we will give anybody a game and the motivation will be there for everybody.”
