Davis will have to pick players up after late defeat

Banbury United boss Paul Davis says his players will have to quickly get over the disappointment of their late defeat against Hungerford Town when they travel to St Neots on Saturday.

Mark Draycott bagged the stoppage-time winner as Hungerford won 2-1 in Saturday’s Evo-Stik Southern League clash at Spencer Stadium.

The prolific Draycott had earlier given the visitors the lead from a disputed penalty but Jordan Green equalised before the break. The Puritans looked to be heading for a deserved premier division point until Draycott struck two minutes into added-time.

After the game, Davis spoke to the Banbury Guardian.
