Davis delighted to round off with a trophy

Banbury United manager Paul Davis was delighted to round off a difficult campaign on a high note.

The Puritans won the Oxon Senior Cup for the sixth time in the club’s history with a penalty shoot-out victory over North Leigh at the Kassam Stadium.

The game finished 4-4 after normal time and after extra-time so it went to penalties with Joel Meade netting the vital spot-kick after Leigh Bedwell had saved two penalties.
