Davis delighted after his players deliver to carry the fight on

Banbury United manager Paul Davis asked for a positive performance from his players against Histon to keep their season alive and they delivered.

The Puritans thumped Histon 4-0 in Saturday’s Evo-Stik Southern League clash at Spencer Stadium where Leam Howards bagged a brace with Kynan Isaac and substitute Carl Tappin also getting on the score sheet.

It means United can still get out of trouble but they must beat Slough Town in Tuesday’s rearranged premier division fixture at Spencer Stadium to take the fight to the final day at Chesham United.

Davis spoke to the Banbury Guardian after Saturday’s game.
