Brackley Town boss Jon Brady says his team needs to find its level after their two opening Vanarama National League North games.

A solitary David Moyo goal earned Saints a 1-0 victory over Harrogate Town in Saturday’s opener but three days later they were sunk by Marlon Harewood’s winner at Nuneaton.

Brady said: “They were two completely different performances, as well organised as we were against Harrogate we were as disjointed against Nuneaton. Our organisation needs to be better but this is a new side and the players are still bedding in.

“They’ve got to find their level but Nuneaton are full-time, Kevin Wilson has recruited well, they’ve got a good mix of youth and experience. They pulled us apart at times and Dan Crane kept us in the game with crucial saves because we only had a 20 or 30 minute spell in the second half when we got going.”

Brady said the club will appeal the red card shown to Curtis McDonald, adding: “I’ve seen the incident and Curtis [McDonald] has taken the ball cleanly but their player has rolled around. I hope the referee sees it like that as well.”
