Brady bemoans two dropped points after Saints draw

Brackley Town boss Jon Brady expresses his frustration after seeing his side drop two points against North Ferriby United.

Izak Reid grabbed the late equaliser to preserve Town’s unbeaten start to their Skrill Conference North campaign.

Saints drew 1-1 with Conference new boys North Ferriby United in Saturday’s clash at St James Park, where they conceded their first goal of the season to end their run of five clean sheets.

Both goals came in the second half. Nathan Jarman broke the deadlock on the hour mark but Reid popped up in the 84th minute to salvage a late point for Jon Brady’s side.

Brady said: “We should have taken some of the good chances created in the first half. A couple of chances hit their keeper and stayed out but he knew nothing about it but I’m pleased at the way we came back and showed great character.

“[Nathan] Jarman took his goal well but we should have cleared the ball before it reached him. But having gone 1-0 down and to come back as we did was pleasing.

“[Isak] Reid’s free-kick was a quality strike. I thought Eddie Nisevic made a big impact when he came on, he was exceptional and made a real difference. Make no mistake, North Ferriby have some good players and are tough opponents, they will take points from a lot of teams this season.”
