Brackley Town are part of a record-equalling amount of non-league clubs who have won through to the second round of the FA Cup this season.

Hide AdFor only the third time in the competition’s history, 14 non-league sides will be aiming to be in next Monday’s draw for the third round with the chance of being paired with one of English football’s elite names.
The first occasion was in 1975/76 with the feat being repeated in 2007/08.
Among the clubs to reach the second round in that latter season were Staffordshire club Chasetown, who went on to become the first club from the eighth tier of English football to reach the third round proper.

Hide AdThis season, Marine (Northern Premier League North West) and Canvey Island (Isthmian League South East) could emulate them - and both have second round ties against fellow non-league opposition. While Marine are hosting Havant & Waterlooville on Sunday, Canvey welcome three divisions higher Boreham Wood the following evening.
Among the 14 non-league clubs in the second round in 1975/76 were two who went on to win the FA Cup - Wimbledon (1988) and Wigan Athletic (2013).
Wimbledon, though, are one of three clubs from the 1975-76 list who no longer exist.

Hide AdCoventry Sporting and Scarborough - wound up in 1989 and 2007 respectively - are the others.

1975-76 - Bishop's Stortford, Coventry Sporting, Dover, Gateshead, Hendon, Leatherhead, Marine, Spennymoor, Tooting & Mitcham, Scarborough, Stafford, Wigan, Wimbledon and Wycombe
2007/08 - Burton Albion, Cambridge United, Chasetown, Exeter, Forest Green Rovers, Oxford United, Harrogate, Havant & Waterlooville, Horsham, Kidderminster, Rushden & Diamonds, Staines, Torquay, Weymouth
