The highlight of the evening’s racing is the Voute Sales Warwickshire Oaks Stakes (Listed Race) run over an extended mile-and-a-quarter and won last year by The Queen’s Set To Music.

Leamington FC season ticket holders and Brakes Trust members can enjoy the evening’s racing free of charge, courtesy of the racecourse.

There’s also the opportunity for one lucky couple in morning dress to be crowned ‘King and Queen’ of Warwick Racecourse for the day with a prize package including a three-course meal in the course’s 1707 Restaurant plus the chance to select a best turned out horse and present mementos to some of the winning owners.

“The beauty of horse racing is being able to hold two completely different themed race meetings just days apart,” said Williams.

“BBQ Sausage night offers the perfect excuse to come to the races after a long Monday at work, while at our Alternative Ascot you can enjoy the action at Warwick while also watching the live racing from Ascot, so you won’t miss a thing.”

Gates open on Thursday at 12.20pm with the first of the seven races getting underway at 2.20pm.
