Ollie Wright went nap as Banbury maintained their Home Counties Premier Cricket League title challenge with a ten wicket victory for the second week running.

This time they saw off rivals Oxford in Saturday’s division one fixture but they still trail Henley by three points after the leaders and third placed High Wycombe also won.

The basement boys were skittled out for 75 runs with openers Brad Sutherland 24 and Vishane Perera 26 the only batsmen to make an impression. Oxford were dismissed in the 40th over as Wright took an impressive 5-10 and Richard West picked up 3-13 while wicket keeper Tim Paine produced six dismissals.

In reply, openers Paine and Phillips saw Banbury home to a facile victory in the 11th over. Paine hit 59 runs, including eight fours and two sixes.
