Sandford St Martin made it back-to-back wins in the Cherwell Cricket League with a single wicket success against Didcot.
They followed up last week’s victory over rivals Great & Little Tew II but Chris Thompson was denied a century in the division two fixture at Ledwell Road.
Ollie Ong took 3-19 and Daniel Jason Smith picked up 3-51 as Didcot were dismissed for 152 runs. Thompson hit an unbeaten 93 as Sandford passed the target in the 35th over.
Second-placed Great & Little Tew kept up the pressure on leaders Horspath II with a six wicket success against Aston Rowant II.
Jonathan Hern 45 top scored as the visitors made 204-9 while Robbie Shurmer took 4-60 and Jack Belmont claimed 3-26. In reply, Markus Jeacock 65 and Lloyd Brock 59 put the hosts on their way to victory in the 31st over.
Division three leaders Cropredy beat basement boys Dinton II by four wickets.
Mark Ludlowe 72 helped the hosts to 145-5 which the visitors passed in the 27th over.
Banbury IV drew with Great & little Tew III in division six.
Kieran Dolphin 94, Tyrone Eyles 58no, Adnan Ahmed 37 and Andrew Stevens 31 helped Banbury to 260-4 while Simon Priscott took 3-59. In reply, Edward Bradbury took 3-36 to restrict the hosts to 145-8 at the close.
Cropredy II lost by 31 runs at Bicester & North Oxford II in division seven.
Kevin Hicks 64 top scored as the hosts posted 139-7 while Patrick Somerton took 4-19 and Altadf Hussain picked up 3-48. In reply, Matt Clark claimed 3-10 as Cropredy were dismissed in the 25th over.
Great & Little Tew IV drew with Bicester & North Oxford III in division nine.
Gordon Selwood 48 top scored as the visitors were dismissed for 135 runs while Piers Walton took 4-16 and Michael Libery took 4-28. Simon Rae then picked up 5-25 but the hosts closed on 121-9.
