Last year’s Davidstow National Village Cup runners-up Great & Little Tew cruised into the next round of the 2015 competition with a comfortable 86 run victory at Horley.

The Home Counties Premier Cricket League club posted 186-8 in Sunday’s tie with Marcus Jeacock (51) and Harry Smith (57) completing half-centuries while skipper Andy Harris made 23 runs. Dave Eaton and Jon Hart picked up a couple of wickets apiece for the Cherwell League club.

In reply, the visitors ripped through Horley’s top order with Harris taking four wickets and Lloyd Brock picking up three wickets before Adam Webb hit an unbeaten 41 and Eaton added a gutsy 27 runs.
