Jandre Coetzee took another seven wickets to condemn Great & Little Tew to a heavy defeat in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League.
Tew lost by nine wickets against division one leaders Finchampstead in Saturday’s fixture at Ledwell Road where Coetzee was unplayable.
Having been inserted, Tew were soon in trouble as Harry Smith and Dain Moreton went with just four runs on the board as Coetzee struck twice. Jordan Garrett 13 and Joe White stuck it out a little while longer before another wicket fell.
White 13 managed to survive the onslaught but he ran out of partners as Coetzee ripped through the home side’s batting line-up. Matt Warner 15 was the only other batsman to make double figures as the hosts were skittled out for just 47 runs in the 21st over.
Coetzee finished with 7-20 ably supported by Matt Carter who took 3-27.
In reply, Finchampstead soon had the points in the bag as they reached 36 before losing their first wicket, that of Andrew House for 36. That left Will Rogers and Dan Marles to see the leaders home in the ninth over.
