Andy Harris will be looking for his Great & Little Tew side to take another step towards promotion when they travel to Aston Rowant for Saturday’s Home Counties Premier Cricket League fixture.
The division two leaders settled for a draw against Buckingham Town on Saturday at Ledwell Road, where Harris was content to take some points with title rivals Gerrards Cross slipping up against Shipton-under-Wychwood.
Harris said: “I was pleased to get a draw in the end, they were in control at one stage and it looked as though they might win the game.
“Once we knew Gerrards Cross had lost, it was important we didn’t lose to make sure we picked up some points.”
Harris has been delighted with the form of batsman Jordan Garrett this season and the young opener hit 72 runs against Buckingham on Saturday.
Harris added: “Jordan Garrett has been batting superbly this year, last year gave him the chance to find his feet in senior cricket and he’s in great form. We’re still in a strong position and now it’s all about not losing games on the run-in.”
