Daynes hits half-century in Preston victory

Mark Daynes completed an unbeaten century as Preston Capes beat Marston St Lawrence by seven runs in Tuesday’s Banbury Indoor Cricket League division three fixture.

Preston posted 128-5 with Mark Daynes (53no) and Matt Daynes (22) top scoring. In reply, Owen Griffiths (29) and Matt Scott (25no) came close to pulling it off for Marston who ran out of overs.

Radway beat Hinton-in-the-Hedges by four wickets.

Hinton made 123-5 with Will Peel-Yates (35) and Paul White (18no) leading the way. But Sam Douthwaite (31no) and Phil Douthwaite (25no) saw Radway home.

Azad beat Bodicote by 48 runs.

Ansar Hussain (40) and Azhar Shah (23) top scored as Azad were dismissed for 131 runs. George Lawrence (35) was the only Bodicote batsman to make an impression in their reply.

Castlethorpe beat Veterans by four wickets.

Veterans made 93-5 with Mike Thomas (25) top scoring but Stewart Walding (27no) led Castlethorpe to victory.
