Radical Challenge Championship leader Steve Burgess continued his quest for the Radical Challenge title, with two second place finishes from his three races at Brands Hatch.
But RAW team-mate Joe Stables was hot on his heels too for the Banbury based team.
Burgess spent the first two races chasing former European Champion Bradley Smith for second place, but starting from the front row for the final his hopes were high.
“I got forced wide into the Paddock Hill Bend though, was then looking in my mirrors for Joes Stables and spun at Graham Hill Bend,” he explained.
Stables had been sixth and third behind Burgess in the earlier sprint races but was pushing for another podium in the final too. He was chasing a duel for third between Brian Caudwell and Olympic Gold medal cyclist Jason Kenny when they collided and left him clear third to the flag.
Burgess had restarted last but was back into the top ten by lap eight. His recovery charge finally brought him home in a hard fought fourth place.
