The Allen brothers from Edgehill completed a double in Sunday’s Shenington Karting Club meeting.
Scott Allen won the KZ UK race while Ross Allen won the 250 National class at the meeting.
Scott Allen capitalised when a back marker slowed leader Sam Webster for him to slice past on the penultimate lap . Webster had set off heading the six-speed 125cc geared class final with Allen on his tail but soon usurped by Henry Easthope.
Allen retrieved second but was struggling to close on Webster until the back marker came into play while Easthope salvaged second on the last lap.
In the concurrent 250 National race, Ross Allen failed to finish both his heats but a brilliant start saw him slot into third in the final, passing Max Buckley and Aaron Powell. Buckley retired almost immediately and Allen powered to a 14 seconds victory over Powell.
As always, the Junior TKM did not disappoint for excitement as Hook Norton’s Matthew Graham momentarily forged ahead of Matthew Round-Garrido mid race.
Matthew Taylor took them both, only to be shuffled back in turn as Round-Garrido went for the win with Taylor second and Graham having to settle for third over Banbury’s Roman Haskett. Over Norton’s Joseph Reeves-Smith spun to the back while James Pashley came in 13th.
