Spooky Halloween Pumpkin Trail returns to Banbury with fantastic prizes up for grabs

Organised by Banbury BID, the Halloween Pumpkin Trail will run from Monday, October 19 to Saturday 31.

This year’s trail features ten decorated pumpkins hidden in shop and business windows around the town centre.

The pumpkins were decorated by pupils from local schools and nurseries including St Leonard’s, Cherry Fields, Hanwell, Hornton, Hardwick, Orchard Fields, Bishop Loveday, Harriers, Frank Wise and Child First Nursery.

Ollie Phipps from Banbury BID said: “This trail is a brilliant way to showcase the incredible talent of our local children. It’s a free, fun activity for families to enjoy together throughout the lead-up to Halloween.”

To take part, participants must collect a free trail sheet from Banbury United Stand, the Castle Quay information desk, Banbury Museum or Banbury Library.

Once collected, take a stroll around town and see how many pumkpins can be located, afterwards particpiants must pop their completed sheets in the spooky postbox located at the Banbury Museum to be in with a chance of winning.

This year three fantastic prizes are up for grabs, a £70 voucher for The Entertainer toy shop, Four tickets to Room on the Broom theatre perfomance at The Mill Arts Centre and a £25 book voucher that can be used at Waterstones.

A Banbury BID spokesperson said: “The trail is completely free to take part in and is designed to encourage visitors of all ages to support local shops.”
