Samsung Galaxy leaks suggest exciting new features

The latest model of the Samsung Galaxy is already exciting phone geeks thanks to a series of leaked reports about its new design.

With the S9 set to be unveiled next week, a new dual-lens camera with amazing slow-motion video capability is perhaps the upgraded model's biggest feature.

A repositioning of the fingerprint sensor, and dual speakers - for the first time on a Galaxy phone - are also among the features reported by an anonymous reviewer.

The leak also confirmed that the device will sport a 3.5mm headphone jack.

But the show-stopping super slow-mo video - capable of recording at 960 frames per second in HD - may be the main attraction for would-be owners.

The Galaxy S9 will also boast a 12-megapixel single rear camera, while the Galaxy S9+ will sport dual 12-megapixel cameras.

Both will feature a variable aperture mode of f/1.5 or f/2.4 which should make for unparalleled low light phone photography.

Optical image stabilisation, laser and dual-pixel autofocus, plus an 8-megapixel f/1.7 front-facing lens for selfies are also expected to come as standard on both variants.

However, it may not be good news for every Samsung fan. Virtual assistant Bixby - which has, shall we say, divided opinion among users - is back, rather than being ditched in favour of Alexa or Google Assistant. And what’s more, gets its own dedicated hardware button.
