All Saints Church, Wroxton vicar John Reader and some of his young congregation show off their Christmas tree, adorned with cards sending good wishes from neighbour to neighbour. The cards are hung on the tree by villagers to send Christmas greetings to all friends who live in the village, each donating £5 to the church. This year the cards helped raise a total of £205.
“This tradition started a few years ago and is now a regular event which is combined with a carol service. This year the church was packed and in addition to the traditional carols and readings, several children read poems and one gave a virtuoso violin performance,” said resident Judy May.
