A self-employed motor
mechanic with a passion for
photography depicted the sunny winter landscape by Thenford earlier this month.
Andrew Newman, of Middleton Cheney, went with wife Catherine for a sunny winter walk and managed to get some beautiful shots on his iPhone.
He said: “We are not what you would call great walkers but felt the need to blow the post-Christmas cobwebs out so, on a lovely day, Catherine and I decided to do a near ten-mile circuit of the Millennium and Jurassic Ways, taking in Upper Wardington and Chacombe; quite a hike for those not used to it, but good fun.
“It may come as a surprise but the photos were taken on my iPhone.
“In the 70s and early 80s I did have an SLR camera and used to do my own developing of black and white prints and enlargements.
“Latterly though I found carrying a relatively bulky camera and paraphernalia around a chore and find that such have been the advances in digital technology that having the camera phone with you at all times allows sharp and spontaneous pictures to be secured.”
