Children in Year Two at St Leonard’s School in Banbury learnt more about fish fingers when two firms came to visit this week.

Selection Matters and Newly Weds Foods, who are working in partnership volunteered their services to help with the class topic for the term, food.

Newly Weds, which is based near the school, makes batters and breadings for fish and other foodstuffs and talked to the pupils about their food products and where they come from.

The children also had the opportunity to deconstruct a fish finger.

Newly Weds left all of the children with a goody bag and a challenge to design a fish finger.
