Taylor Wimpey South Midlands has donated £750 to a Woodford Halse nursery towards its fundraising campaign for a new interactive white board.

The leading housebuilder is building new homes at Woodford Meadows just down the road the nursery on the High Street.

Come And Play Woodford Halse, which includes parents of children at the nursery, has been organising a series of fundraising events to raise the £3,500 needed to purchase the new equipment and approached the housebuilder asking for support.

The group said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their kind donation, which has helped get us closer to achieving our fundraising target. The whiteboard will be a huge asset to the nursery and benefit the children of our community.”

Rachel Waldock, Nursery Nurse from Woodford Halse Nursery added: “This has been a huge help towards out £3,500 target for our nursery whiteboard, it has given us the extra drive and determination to reach our goal.

“We are hugely grateful for Taylor Wimpey and their kind donation. The children are going to be so excited when we finally achieve the target and purchase the whiteboard, as there are so many exciting things we can show and teach the children using this piece of equipment.”

Woodford Meadows currently offers a superb selection of three-bedroom homes priced from just £210,000 and four-bedroom properties from only £260,000.

The development is located off Byfield Road, Woodford Halse, NN11 3QR, and open Thursday to Sunday between 10am and 5pm, and Mondays from 1pm to 5pm.

Gareth Jacob, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “As a local housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes, so we were only too pleased to offer our help to Woodford Halse Nursery.

“We wish the parents every success in reaching their fundraising goal to enhance the technology available within the nursery unit and help the children learn and develop new skills.”
