St Mary’s Church in Banbury was brimming with talent from a wide range of artists on Saturday as its popular craft fair made a welcome return.
Now firmly a popular event in the church’s calendar year, this year’s billing saw more than 40 different traders pack into the 18th century church on Horsefair where customers were spoilt for choice with a wide choice of early Christmas presents and ideas.
Giles Macdonald, who helped organise the event, said: “It went really well and we are all pleased with how everything went. Lots of people were coming through the doors despite the horrible weather.
“We try and get new traders each time so we have old favourites and new people but it is really interesting because they get their customers coming back especially to see them.
“All the artists are into something different and it is amazing to see many people that are around Banbury. we have got a waiting list for people wanting to be a part of the event.”
Traders this year included chocolates to jewellery, textiles and woodturning.
