Walking footballer dies after collapse at Brackley Town
The club sent its ‘sincerest sympathies’ to the loved ones of Peter Cosentino in a pair of Tweets today (Tuesday, September 25).
The Tweets read: “The club are saddened to hear of the passing away of Peter Cosentino one of our walking footballers.

Hide Ad“Peter collapsed whilst taking part in our walking football festival on Sunday and died despite the efforts of first aiders, paramedics and the air ambulance crew.
“Everyone connected with Brackley Town Football Club, the board of directors and all of the walking footballers send their most sincerest sympathies to his wife Mandy, his family and friends.
“A minute’s silence will be held before the match with Nuneaton tonight.”
Brackley Town face Nuneaton in the qualifying round of the FA Cup at St James Park tonight.
The club and East Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for further comment.
