Vote for your favourite at Christmas Tree Festival

St Mary’s Church in Mill Lane, Adderbury, will be open for everyone to enjoy the festive display from 10am to 4pm on December 2 and 3, and from noon to 4pm on December 4.

The festival finale will be a Family Victorian Carol Service at 4.30pm on Sunday, December 4.

All the trees are sponsored by local businesses and groups, and visitors can vote for their favourite tree.

The Rev Stephen Fletcher said: “Our church makes a wonderful setting for a Christmas tree festival. As well as looking at the beautiful trees on display, visitors can explore the church and enjoy some seasonal refreshments and musical entertainment. It’s a great way to start the festive season. This is the third year the festival has run and we are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, Gracewell and Hook Norton Brewery, for their support.”

Last year hundreds of people attended the festival over the three days. Organisers hope just as many will visit the church this year to experience the magical display of 40 decorated Christmas trees. There will be musical entertainment throughout the festival as well as seasonal refreshments.

Mark Graham, of Hook Norton Brewery, said: “Along with our Hooky pub of the year, The Bell, Adderbury, we are proud to support this fantastic festival. It is a great local event and helps raise funds for what is a wonderful church.”

Entry to the Christmas Tree Festival is free but donations towards the work of St Mary’s Church and The Children’s Society will be accepted.
