Generous Sibford residents handed over a cheque for £667 to the Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal following a charity curry lunch last month.

Organiser Diana Hughes teamed up with Prakash Maharajan and Sulochana Aryal from Gurkha Spice Nepalese restaurant on Broad Street, Banbury, to organise the event on June 7.

Diana said: “The meal was brilliant, everybody said how much they had enjoyed it, and we were able to give £667 to the Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal. Huge thanks to Prakash and Sulochana for their generosity and expertise. Many thanks too to David Allen, who designed the posters, and to Banbury Print and Design who printed them for free.”
