An Adderbury resident is selling pieces of her own jewellery to raise funds for an animal charity after the death of a village stray cat.

Linda Feeley became aware of William the cat’s health problems last month and, after being told she had to pay £37 for treatment, she was contacted by BARKS which said it would cover the cost of healthcare.

Despite William’s death on January 26, Mrs Feeley, of Round Close Road, has already raised more than £200 for the charity selling items including bracelets, necklaces and rings.

She said: “I wanted to do something to help the charity as it was so helpful in helping pay for William’s treatment. I would not want this to happen to anyone else.”
