The two day event will be a welcome alternative to the stress of department store, town centre Christmas shopping and will feature traders offering everything from homemade edible delicacies, ladies and gents clothing, vintage crafts and jewellery.

The National Trust House, just outside Banbury, will be decorated for a 1940s Christmas and will mirror the decor of the period, how Christmas presents were made and the creative ways Christmas meals were prepared during rationing.

In addition to the shopping opportunities the event will mark the start of the children’s Christmas Curiosity Trail running which will run for the next three weekends and will allow children to explore the house, discover the clever tricks of having a happy Christmas during wartime, and receive a prize from a special festive guest.

The Victory Fayre will be held on both Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4. Doors will open at 11am and close at 4pm.
