Bloxham’s and Adderbury’s Christmas Tree Festivals will be taking place this weekend.
St Mary’s Church, in Bloxham will be opening its doors from 10.30am to 5.30pm on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 and 11am to 5.30pm on Sunday, December 6 closing with a festival service in the church at 6pm on Sunday.
There are more than 40 trees in church which have been sponsored and decorated by local schools, clubs, and businesses, many in a theme which showcases their sponsor. There will also be live music performances throughout the weekend, a memory and prayer tree and refreshments in The Parish Rooms, next to the church. Entrance is £2.50 per adult, under 16s free, and all funds raised go to Friends of St Mary’s Bloxham.
At the same time St Mary’s Church, in Adderbury, will be holding its festival, also on Friday and Saturday, from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from noon to 4pm.
The festival finale will be a Victorian Carol Service at 4.30pm on the Sunday. The trees are sponsored by local groups and visitors can vote for their favourite tree.
