The business owner behind Shared Beauty Secrets has said she is ‘beyond gutted’ after they failed to make it into the top ten of Virgin Media’s #PitchToRich campaign.

Clare Anderson founded the company back in 2009 and the firm in Chesterton have already developed a huge following across the country, with support from celebrities including Made in Chelsea star and actress Millie Mackintosh, Callum Best and former Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh.

The business entered themselves in the ‘grow’ category of Richard Branson’s #PitchToRich campaign, aimed at developing business in the country, and have already made the final 50.

But they found out this morning (Tuesday) that they were not one of the remaining ten businesses in with a chance of winning a £250,000 marketing campaign.

Mrs Anderson, who lives in Clifton, said: “I am really gutted but the experience has been phenomnenal. I am so proud of what we have done and humbled by the support. We have already had an impact on our accounts and we need to keep the momentum going to take us the next stage.”

Lava Shells are the world’s first unique self-heating massage tool - a patented, biodegradable heat technology which is incorporated into the Lava Shell, which then emits heat for over an hour, providing a seamless massage of heat and touch.
