UPDATE: Woman dies and another in serious condition after Shipston crash
A blue VW Polo and a red Mini Countryman Cooper were involved in the crash on the A3400 London Road near the cemetery at about 3.15pm.
The Polo driver, a woman in her 60s, was pronounded deceased at the scene - her next of kin has been informed.

Hide AdThe occupant of the Mini, a woman in her 50s, received a number of fractures and was taken by air ambulance to hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: “On arrival, members of the public were performing resuscitation on one of the drivers.
“Ambulance staff immediately took over and provided advanced clinical care, but sadly it was not possible to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene
“The other driver, also a woman, suffered serious injuries. After being assessed and treated at the scene, she was airlifted to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Hide AdThe main road was shut between Shoulderway Lane in Shipston and the Burmington junction for a number of hours.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 240 of October 19.
