Two people die after crash on M40

The driver and passenger of a black Vauxhall Astra have died after the vehicle lost control on the M40 last night (Monday).

The incident happened between junction 10 Ardley and nine for Bicester on the southbound carriageway at about 8.45pm, when the driver lost control and the car left the road and came to a stop on the nearside embankment.

The two occupants died at the scene but have not yet been formally identified.
