TV's Charlie Luxton to host Chipping Norton charity auction

The event, starting at 7.30pm, will be hosted by TV celebrity and local resident Charlie Luxton and will be raising money for Cancer Research’s Oxford Cyclotron Appeal.

Fundraisers are aiming to generate the £5.5 million needed for Oxford to have its own Cyclotron, an important cancer diagnostic machine critical for determining the correct and most effective course of cancer treatment.

Currently Oxford has to buy and transport the radioisotopes required from other locations across the UK such as Cambridge, Cardiff and London limiting research and clinical trials.

On offer at the auction are an array of lots including a One Direction T Shirt signed by all of the original band members, front row tickets for the Radio 4 News Quiz, Renault Formula 1 works tour, your height in Hook Norton beer (84 pints for a 6 foot man), indoor karting tickets, a Cotswold gin distillery tour, gardening, babysitting and ironing, a hair cut and blow dry, hampers and themed baskets and much more.
