Tribute to dad-of-three: ‘We will love and miss you forever’

Andy Lever went missing from Portway, Banbury, on May 17 and his family in Brackley appealed for him to come home.

A body found in a Cambridgeshire waterway on August 4 was identified as Mr Lever.

In a statement released today, Friday his wife Lianne, sons Joe and Zac and daughter Esme said they were ‘devastated’.

“Andy was a hugely committed family man who was devoted to his children. He played an active role in all aspects of their lives, supporting them in their wide range of interests.

“He and Lianne had been together since college and recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

“As well as being a husband and a Dad, he was a much loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

“Although Andy’s life was short, he touched so many people through his music, humour and the active part he played in all family relationships.

“From holidays with extended family to summer barbecues and Christmas celebrations, Andy was always there and to say he will be missed is a massive understatement.

“He leaves a huge gap in the lives of all who know and love him.

“We will love and miss you forever. Sleep tight.”
