'My kids could have done a better job clearing up the mess left over!' - this is the site after roadworks in Banbury

These reader photos show the leftover mess after roadworks along Oxford Road in Banbury.

Following the works along Oxford Road, the site compound has been removed from the junction of Horton View and Oxford Road.

But reader Richard Walker said: "The site has been left in an appalling condition - with tarmac left on the road, broken bollards, blocked drains, drain covers left on the verge, bits of timber left in the grass...the list goes on.

"No doubt a lot of money was spent on the roadworks but the site should be made good on completion - rather than causing a hazard to pedestrians.

Richad has reported it to Oxfordshire Highways - and added: "My kids could have done a better job clearing up the mess left over!"
