Man charged with multiple offences after police incident near Banbury

Christopher Evans, aged 31, of Drury Lane, Solihull, West Midlands was charged today (Tuesday August 16) with one count each of possession of a bladed article, robbery, possession of a Class A drug, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance.

The charge is in connection with an incident that occurred at around 9.15am yesterday (August 15) on the M40 near Banbury.

Evans has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on September 12.
